Privacy Policy

What we collect: almost nothing

• No account. JourneyPilot has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles.
• Your trips stay on your device. Itineraries, stops, bookings you log, budgets, expenses, packing lists, and journal photos and videos are stored locally on your iPhone and are never transmitted to us.
• Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Apple services

Place search, maps, driving and walking times, place imagery, and weather forecasts are provided by Apple's MapKit and WeatherKit services. When you search for places or view weather, the relevant location or search text is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. JourneyPilot's own servers never receive your location.

Location

If you grant location access, it is used on-device to show nearby emergency services (hospitals, pharmacies, police) and to center maps. Your location is not collected or stored by us.

Pilot AI (chat)

When you send a message to Pilot, that message, your recent Pilot conversation, and a summary of your current trip plan are transmitted securely to our server and to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Pilot messages:

• are not linked to your name, email, or any account (we don't have one);
• are used only to answer you and enforce fair-use limits (a random per-install identifier counts usage — it does not identify you);
• are not used for advertising and are not sold to anyone.

Third-party websites

Booking sites (such as Google Flights, Booking.com, Expedia, and others) and social platforms open inside an in-app browser. Anything you do on those sites — searches, logins, bookings — is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. We receive nothing from those sessions.

What we don't do

• No advertising or ad tracking
• No analytics SDKs
• No selling or sharing of data
• No access to your contacts

Data deletion

Deleting the app deletes all locally stored trips, journal media, and settings. Pilot message logs are not retained in an identifiable form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
